Moviebase

Hello, Moviebase development team and fellow movie and series enthusiasts! I would like to propose the addition of a feature that, in my opinion, would make the app experience even more fluid and integrated: Chromecast support. As an avid Moviebase user, I love how the app helps me organize and track everything I watch. However, I miss a more direct way to connect what I'm seeing on my TV with my catalog in the app. How Chromecast Support Would Help: I believe that integrating with Chromecast would greatly simplify the process of cataloging watched content. Imagine the following situation: I start streaming a movie or series episode on my TV via Chromecast, and at the end of the viewing or at any time, I could open the app and mark that movie or episode as "watched." This would eliminate the need to pick up my phone. It would be an intelligent and convenient way to keep our catalog always updated with minimal effort. Conclusion: Implementing Chromecast support would not only add a layer of convenience but also solidify Moviebase's position as the ultimate companion for all film and television lovers. The ability to seamlessly sync what we are watching on the big screen with our personal catalog would be a major differentiator. I would like to know what the community and the developers think about this idea. Would this be a welcome feature for anyone else? I would love a feature that sorts movies into “blocks” (perhaps compressed and slightly separated), with the director’s name above each “block” of movies.

It would be very Good if we will be able to add personalised notes to the content we have watched. Whether it is a Movie or a Series.

Add a feature where TV shows and movies are suggested based on other ones we watched.

Add the ability to filter items in watchlist (or in custom list) by network/provider like JustWatch app (ex. I want to see all Netflix series in list).

When a user rates a move, automatically add that movie to their watched list. Or at least have a setting options that allows for this. It's easy to rate a movie after watching and forget to also go back and add it to watched, it makes sense that if you rate a movie you wantched it.

Have you ever considered creating a web version of Moviebase? I know that very few of your users might ask for something like this (even many multinationals no longer develop web versions independent of the phone), but there are certain periods when I use my smartphone less (voluntarily) and would love to continue using Moviebase. I’m a bit hesitant to switch to Moviebase only because of this, as I feel I’ll be more dependent on my phone, whereas with TV Time, I’m not. Of course, your app is superior in every other aspect, so it’s an acceptable tradeoff, but it doesn’t hurt to ask ;)

Put na option to archive tv shows without hide tem, because the shows are canceled qnd come back, change Channel and It would be good to see If they come back.
